Hey, I'm Jenna

Red Light Therapy Tester & Wellness Writer
I'm Jenna — a mom of two, former personal trainer, and total health nerd. I got into red light therapy in 2021 when I was dealing with postpartum joint pain and stubborn skin issues. I bought my first panel on a whim, got obsessed with the science, and started testing every device I could get my hands on. Three years and 50+ panels later, this site is where I share what actually works — no fluff, no sponsored picks, just honest testing.
Why I Started This Site
After my second kid, I was dealing with knee pain that wouldn't quit and skin that looked like it aged 10 years overnight (thanks, sleep deprivation). A friend mentioned red light therapy, and I figured — why not? I ordered a cheap panel off Amazon and started using it every morning.
Within a few weeks, I noticed my joints felt better. My skin started clearing up. I was hooked. But when I went to buy a better panel, I realized every "review site" was basically just a list of Amazon affiliate links with zero actual testing. Nobody was measuring irradiance. Nobody was checking EMF levels. Nobody was telling you which panels were actually worth the money.
So I bought a solar power meter, an EMF detector, and started testing panels myself. Friends started asking me which one to buy. I kept a spreadsheet. That spreadsheet turned into this site.
How I Actually Test
I'm not a lab. I'm a real person testing these in my living room — which is exactly where you'll use them too. Here's what I check:
- ✓Irradiance — measured with a calibrated solar power meter at 6" distance
- ✓EMF levels — checked at treatment distance (some panels are shockingly high)
- ✓Build quality — how it feels, how it's made, does the stand wobble?
- ✓Real-world use — I use each panel for at least 2 weeks before reviewing
- ✓Value — a $150 panel that delivers can outscore a $1,500 panel that doesn't

Affiliate Disclosure
Real talk: I make a small commission when you buy through my links. It costs you nothing extra, and it's how I fund this site (and buy more panels to test). But it never influences my reviews — I've given bad scores to panels with great affiliate payouts, and I always will. I only recommend devices I'd actually buy with my own money.
